I just tested it & it downloaded fine for me -- are you maybe trying to use a link that's not directly on the scarstuff site? By that I mean that if you're coming off of an external link that connects to the zip file you'll encounter that error, but if you try to come off of the album cover or text link here (using scarstuff.blogspot.com) you should be fine.

I remember seeing Butch on MV3, a syndicated music video show out of Los Angeles, promoting this single. He did an interview and they showed the video, which IIRC, was really low budget.

You know I sometimes wish that I could, but beyond the basic workload that would be required to re-up everything, after receiving a cease and desist letter from a law firm representing a major record label (around something I posted that had been long out of print but was set to re-emerge via iTunes -- a position I totally understand and bear no ill-will towards anyone about), my hosting company gave me something of a "zero tolerance" type ultimatum and I'm planning on sticking to my agreement with them there.
So that's the logical reason, but I guess there's also kind of an emotional one involved as well, so I'll try & articulate some of that here:
When all of this went down I thought about the whole situation for quite a while and eventually decided that I had really experienced an almost perfect run with Scar Stuff. I truly enjoyed writing the posts and having the chance to shine a light on this material that I had loved so much, but what I hadn't counted on at all was the amazing community that came out as a result. The commenters were, to a person, just fantastic - it got to the point where on almost every post I could be assured of a treasure trove of amazing info and memories being shared back at me. In the end I didn't want to muck with the vibe that had been created and (given that the whole legal situation got a little hairier than I've really talked about) I decided that if I tried to keep things going (say by posting files on some cyberlocker site, or making Scar Stuff a password protected club, or whatever) I'd more than likely end up fucking the fun out of the entire thing for myself.
Now I *also* kinda figured that since so many of my rips had been downloaded, finding them on-line via other folks should be something of a breeze, but it looks like I was only partially correct there and I know that can be pretty frustrating for surfers who are trying to reconnect w/ this stuff.
To be sure: a number of other really cool blogs and people have definitely run with a "Scar Stuff type" theme, but despite their passion and intentions, various elements can easily conspire against them staying active for very long (not to mention most of them probably have no interest in sharing 100% of the same content, so there are likely to be some holes no matter what.)
To compound matters I was the first person to talk about a lot of this stuff on the web and there are a plenty of links pointed over towards my site, so as a result Scar Stuff accidentally ended up being fairly "search engine optimized" and my posts will often come up first if you're trying to search this stuff out on Google. I know that's gotta be pretty annoying and I totally understand some of the more pissed-off comments folks have left for me, but my only advice is to keep searching -- it's almost all genuinely out there if you poke around enough.
Now mmmmmmaybe I can eventually get another little disc-tree thing going like I did a few years back (I ripped 4 DVDs full of vintage Halloween audio mp3s -- the complete Scar Stuff collection and then some -- and mailed them out for free to folks who asked), but to be honest I'm kind of a lazy dope when it comes to projects like that and can't make any promises just yet. Heh, if someone else thinks *they* could swing it though (like keeping track of the interested people and making the distro list and connecting all of the other dots to get it all happening), just let me know -- I'd probably be good for at least ONE more trip to the post office if it was to get something like that moving.
So there you have it. Kinda long winded (& maybe not much help) but hopefully it'll at least put the whole thing in a bit more context from my perspective.
