Server Downtime
Heya folks. Well it looks like the server that's been so capably hosting the Scar Stuff files was getting hit kinda hard (or at least there was something hinky that was creating a bottleneck of sorts -- initial research points to someone hotlinking the files & everything going haywire), so for right now all of the files are temporarily inaccessible. A solution & some clarification is forthcoming I'm sure, but the main thing is that archives are totally safe. Just sit tight & we'll see what we can see (probably sometime on friday morning).
Apologies,
Jason

File access has been restored, the problem was 2 websites hotlinking about 90 gigs worth of downloads in one day. Ouch! Anyways, the problem's fixed. :)

You should incorperate a feature that requires people to say thanks before the link even shows up.

Hey, if it's available or possible, how about a clean copy of the Boris Karloff record with Sleepy Hollow and Rip Van Winkle. Seems like this would be the time of year for a good dose of Headless Horseman. That would be awesome. Keep up the great work.

Totally off-topic here, but I'd really like to thank you for making so much fascinating material available, and through a server that is much more reliable and accessible than those used by other blogs (and one that permits downloads to continue after accidental disconnections!).
Thanks to you, I've been able to hear Vincent Price, Boris Karloff and Alfred Hitchcock give marvellous performances on marvellous records.
Sincere thanks, then, and praise for work well done,
Mark

Just like to take the opportunity to say thanks for the great shares. You've made it possible for me to hear things I never thought I'd be able to track down.

Hey, one of you anomymouses!
Dave just put up the Boris Karloff Sleepy Hollow/Rip Van Winkle record at his Mostly Ghostly Blog at http://davesworld56.blogspot.com/
Happy to hear business is back to normal, Jason!

Tony,
Love your blog too. I've found a lot of good shares there. You should check out my Disney Page. I have a lot of LPs there you'd probably be interested in.

You may have noticed a slight up-blip in traffic because some of the regulars at the Doombuggies.com message boards have recently discovered Scar Stuff, and it's a sweet discovery for the campy ghouls haunting those precincts. Kudos! Delightful idea for a blog, and what a great collection. Nice.

I just wanted to say thanks, I was born in 1971 so I am a bit young for many of these but I have always loved them and owned them when I was young. I discoved you while looking for ghost stories for young people and just listened and brought back a bit of my childhood in this world gone crazy.
Thanks I am glad I am not the only person in the world with a love of halloween.
Please keep it up as long as you can. If I ever find something you don't have I will be sure to pass it on.

Ah, you guys are gonna give me a swelled head! Really glad to know that so many folks are enjoying the files & a hearty thanks once again to Scott at Strange Reaction for doing me the amazing favor of tackling the hosting.
Just so you all know; I'm planning on ramping up my posting speed somewhat in an effort to get a lot more of my albums up in ample time for the Halloween holiday season, and then I'll probably get back to some of the non-Halloween junk that's been piling up in the background of my mind. Keep your fingers crossed for me & my spare time!
And hey -- while I'm yakking it up here, I'll share a little webpage I made to show off my recently acquired paintings done by Cheeta the Chimp (yes THAT Cheeta!); which I ended up discovering I could commission after reading an entry on the fantastic Secret Fun Blog. Cool, huh?

Thanks again Jason for all the great posts
To anonymous all the way up there I don't know if I'm shooting off base here but I belive this is avilible on the "The Legend Of The 7 Golden Vampires" DVD. I seem to remember there being some sort of audio only feature on the dvd I could be wrong though.

I stumbled across your site because my husband and I were debating on the "Golden Arm" story and it's origins so I googled it. After seeing the record posted here I remembered listening to the record as a kid and knew that's where I'd heard it. The funny part is that I used to listen to it at... the Lawrence Public library!!! Having it here is almost as good as sitting on the mushroom chairs in the big plastic bubble :)
Thanks for your work getting these together.

Amy: So great! I can't even begin to describe how much loved I reading inside of that damn plastic bubble (with the fan at one end to keep it up). Once, inspired by Jane "the Middle Moffet" (written by Eleanor Estes, I decided that I would try & read every book in the children's section alphabetically, however I'm pretty sure I didn't even make it through the first one off the shelf. That failure aside, I can still tell you exactly where the horror books were located, as well as perfectly picture the view from the holiday record section. Oh, and that big board w/ all of the children's names on it (often designed to look like a spider's web). Good damn stuff.
